Test fit

I have finalized the placement of lower NB spoiler on the NB bumper.
The two pieces are currently being held together with screws until I finish final trimming. Then they will be bonded together.

Here's a detail shot of the final configuration of the trimmed NA bumper.

A few shots after the epoxy cured for about an hour.

A close-up shot. The numbers represent the order that the screws went in. My wife helped me put the two halves together so I needed to be organized and have everything ready since timing was critical. We practiced putting it together a few times until we could do it in under two minutes.

Now it's just a matter of feathering the edges and fixing the defects...
But, I'm happy with the results so far!

I spent a couple hours today smoothing the bumper with a flexible polyester filler. Here are the results so far.

Last Sunday my nephews Neil and Kyle came over and helped me work on the edge details. Here are the results.

I finally got a paint finish I can live with. I have sanded this bumper down at least three times because I was unsatisfied with the finish. It's still not perfect but it's nice enough and a project has to end at some point, right? In this picture, the bumper is not fully bolted on, I just wanted to see it on the car!

I installed the NB inner wheel well splash shield today. Had to do some trimming to make it fit with the NA upper splash panel but it came out pretty nice. Still looking for an NB lower engine shield to tie everything together.
